At Les Mots d’Amélie, we are translators driven by the belief that language has the power to create meaningful change.
Led by Amélie Levesque, our team works with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, unions, and independent voices from coast to coast to coast and beyond.

Who we’ve worked with
We acknowledge that the land on which our activities take place is part of the unceded traditional territory of the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) people, a longstanding site of gathering and exchange among nations.
We recognize that colonialism has led to the dispossession of Indigenous peoples of their languages, and we are committed to using the languages we know in a constructive way, ensuring that our words do not further contribute to the erosion of ancestral languages.
